Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Witchhunt Suite for WWIII

"A decade ago, as the saga of September 11 was unfolding, Ariel Pink got to work on a gigantic multi-part lo-fi trash-pop song called “Witchhunt Suite For WWIII.” He first included it on the tour-only Yas Dudette CD-R in 2007. And yesterday, Pink released a single version of the 16-minute song as his tribute to the 10th anniversary of 9/11. But Ariel Pink is not exactly Bono, so his 9/11 tribute has its own twisted shape.
Along with Animal Charm, Pink himself directed the new “Witchhunt Suite” video, which is heavy on found footage and notable for the way it integrates actual wartime crisis video into the fuzzy pop ephemera that makes up so much of Pink’s universe. Watch it below."

Forever Together Forever

I keep the secret within deep inside
Grasping without reaching anything
I am alone here to seek for the truth
and your dead star is burning be weak

I am a ghost
Dwelling inside myself

Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound

Veronica Falls - Come On Over

YAY!
I pronounce myself a devoted fan of Veronica Falls. A real cool band form London
spreading some uptempo indie lo-fi, with catchy melodies.
If you always wanted to see the Velvet Underground live, but where born to late,
this might be sort off a chance to do some right to history.

Adam Green - Emily

Eleanor, I wonder if we grew too slow
Straight down the hatch beneath the streetlight's glow
Baby when I get you on that persian rug
That's the kind of movie that I'm dreaming of

Keith Coventry

Coventry's 'Estate Paintings'  look like homages to Kasimir Malevich's suprematist paintings,
however the simple, geometric shapes, typically rendered in black or dark oxblood reds,
are in fact replicas of the maps showing the layout of buildings found outside British
public housing estates. The art writer Matthew Collings writes: "These paintings capture
the moment when modernist Utopian dreams — the well-meant belief that peoples’ lives
would be bettered by living in clean, modern, high rise buildings, with lifts, way up above
the street with plenty of fresh air—evaporated. Because instead of being the touted New
Jerusalem, homes for heroes, the estates spawned new problems, vandalism, violence,
social isolation, drug dealing and addiction, prostitution and racism, recurring themes in
Coventry’s work."

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
