Yesterday I saw this beautiful show in downtown Leipzig:
Kuhturm opened it's doors for a solo by Maria Schumacher.
It reminded me to see a painting as the traditional window to
the world. Yet there is something strange happening here.
Where this traditional way of looking, actually shows
something, here the scene is hidden. There is this colorfield which
works at first as some kind of window, but turns out to be more
like a fence, or a mirror. It's a cover up. The action (the world)
takes place behind the fence; behind the painting.
Whatever you see think to see, it's your own reflection.
